Latin American Fiction and Poetry, Feminist Theory, Latin American Culture, Hispanic Linguistics

Professor Garcia-Pinto teaching interests include twentieth-century Latin American fiction and poetry, Latin American culture, and feminist theory. Her articles on modern Latin American literature have appeared in, among others, Revista Iberoamericana, Confluencia, and Revista de Estudios Colombianaos. She has also published four books: Aproximaciones a la sintaxis del español, with Mario Rojas (Ediciones Puvil, 1986), Historias íntimas. Conversaciones con diez escritoras latinoamericanas (Ediciones del Norte, 1988), translated as Women Writers of Latin America: Intimate Histories (University of Texas Press, 1991), and Delmira Agustini. Poesías completas (Ediciones Cátedra, 1993). She is currently preparing a critical study of the poetry of Delmira Agustini.
