<< back to Faculty PhD, University of Wiscosin-Madison, 2001 Dr. Tabanelli's research and teaching interests are in Italian cinema, film studies, cultural studies, literary and film theory, post-human theories, foreign language teaching methodology, and teaching with technology. She is completing a book on contemporary Neapolitan cinema, I pori di Napoli. Il cinema di Mario Martone, Antonio Capuano e Pappi Corsicato, Ravenna: Longo Editore. She is co-author of the Workbook and Lab Manual and the corresponding Audioscript and Answer Key for Crescendo! 2nd Edition. Thomson Heinle, 2007. Her other publications include book chapters and articles on Erri De Luca, Mario Martone, Laura Pugno, and Simona Vinci. The works on Pugno and Vinci are part of on-going project on contemporary Italian female authors whose stories deal with aspects of post-humanism. Dr. Tabanelli will soon start research for her second book on Italian transnational cinema.
