The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures strongly encourages study abroad as a way to reinforce language skills, broaden one's horizons, and add an unforgettable experience to a meaningful university education. Currently, the University of Missouri-Columbia offers MU and MU Partner Programs in over 50 countries around the world. The university sponsors over 75 MU-specific programs and over 350 MU Partner Programs. From Guadalajara, Cuernavaca, and Madrid to Lyon and Paris, from Coimbra and Rio de Janeiro to Bologna and the newest program in Bergamo, Italy, all of the students in the Department of Romance Languages have the opportunity to pursue their studies in a foreign setting.
