Call for papers: Mid-America Conference on Hispanic Literature

The Mid-America Conference on Hispanic Literature is a joint undertaking of the Universities of Kansas (Lawrence), Missouri (Columbia), Nebraska (Lincoln), Wisconsin (Madison), and Washington University.

The Conference’s Organizing Committee seeks proposals for individual presentations and special sessions on any aspect of the literatures or cultures of Spain or Spanish America, written in Spanish or English. The committee is especially interested in the creation of sessions with innovative topics and formats.

No individual's presentation will exceed 20 minutes. Potential conferees are invited to send a 250-word abstract via mail or email by May 1.  The Organizing Committee will respond to potential presenters by May 20.  Registration and accommodation information will be provided once proposals are accepted.  Registration fees: $70 ($40 for graduate students) to be submitted before August 7; a $20 late fee will be assessed on registrations received after that date.
