Jacquelyn Kay has taught a variety of courses at the University of Missouri including Elementary Spanish Language, Intermediate Spanish Conversation and Composition, Latin American Civilization and the graduate course, Methods in Teaching Foreign Languages.
Jacquelyn has a strong background in Educational Technologies and worked for several years as an Instructional Designer/Educational Technologies Specialist at the University of Missouri. Additionally, she is a certified Quality Matters reviewer for online courses and has reviewed online courses for universities all over the country. In 2006, she was awarded the Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award for undergraduate teaching at the University of Missouri.
Having been a high school exchange student herself, Jacquelyn values the study abroad experience. She leads a Winter Intersession program every year in Costa Rica for students who want to improve their conversational Spanish skills. In the summer, Jacquelyn has lead programs to Peru and Ecuador that incorporate service projects with language learning.
